Clearwater Beach, Florida is one of my favourite travel destinations in the United States. Did you know that it was voted best beach in America a number of times as well as being listed in the top ten beaches in the world?!
Now, you might not associate shopping with a beach vacation but what better time to pick up a few beach essentials?! There are a few spots that I always check out when I’m shopping in Clearwater Beach. Each of these spots sells some super cute beach attire, hats, sunglasses, flip-flops, swimwear and totes among their array of souvenirs!
My Favourite Places to Shop
in Clearwater Beach, Florida
#1: Ron Jon Surf Shop
Ron Jon Surf Shop (and Ron Jon Women next door) is a great place to pick up surf gear and board wax, a great number of beach items like travel tumblers and towels but most importantly (in my opinion), it’s a great place for apparel and accessories. They have a huge selection of sandals and footwear, hats, sunglasses, shorts, tees, tanks and sweaters. We seem to pick up a few staples every time we visit. 
Ron Jon Surf Shop has locations all across Florida so if you’re hoping to hit one up and you aren’t headed to Clearwater, fret not! You also get a free sticker with every purchase!
#2: Freaky Tiki Surf Shack
I don’t ever leave Clearwater Beach without a stop at Freaky Tiki Surf Shack. It’s probably my favourite spot to shop for lightweight sweatshirts, soft cotton shorts and other beachy attire. I love their hand drawn logos and branded items – they double as great summer clothing and souvenirs all at the same time! Many items are designed and made locally, too!
#3 Surf Style
Surf Style in Clearwater Beach is a massive store! You can get almost anything here, too, so it’s a great place to stop if you forgot anything. Surf Style is your best bet for items like souvenir t-shirts and beachwear, chachkis, sunscreen and so much more. They not only sell great branded cotton items (think hoodies, shorts, tees and tanks), they also offer other brands, too, like Under Armour and Salt Life. Surf Style also has a huge selection of swimwear, sunglasses and footwear.
There are a few Surf Style locations in Clearwater Beach and its neighbouring beach towns (St. Pete’s Beach, Sand Key, etc.) each with a unique set of souvenirs.
#4: Frenchy’s Off The Hook
You might recognize Frenchy’s from my Places to Eat in Clearwater Beach article as I talked about it at length! Although each Frenchy’s restaurant offers some t-shirts and assorted merch, Frenchy’s Off The Hook (located beside Frenchy’s Original Cafe) offers the largest selection of items. This is a great spot to pick up some beachwear, sand toys and souvenirs!
#5: Clearwater PaddleBoard & Rental Co.
Yes, the Clearwater PaddleBoard & Rental Co. does in fact sell and rent PaddleBoards and other associated equipment. It’s also a great place to pick up a super cute cruiser bicycle! If you’re more interested in items that will fit in your suitcase, they’ve got a great selection of clothing, footwear, hats and sunnies along with nice souvenirs and branded goods.
