I love a slushy drink in the summer but I also love a chilled glass of wine. This recipe is the best of those worlds combined! I love that this frosé recipe is so customizable to your own tastes.
For me: I don’t like anything too sweet, so I opt out of adding the simple syrup. I also start with a fairly fruit forward bottle of rosé so that when I add the strawberries in, it really pulls those flavours out even more. Sometimes if I’m in the mood for something more tart, I’ll add a squeeze of lemon, too.
Want it extra slushy? Go with frozen strawberries. Want it to taste more fresh and fruity? Go with fresh strawberries.
Ingredients:
- 1 Bottle of Rosé
- Simple syrup (to taste, if desired)
- 1 cup Strawberries – fresh or frozen
- Lemon squeeze (if desired)
- Mint leaves (garnish)
How To:
- Poor half a bottle of rosé into the blender.
- Fill the blender with ice.
- Add strawberries.
- Add simple syrup (if desired).
- Blend.
- Pour into glasses. Garnish with mint.
Too watery? Add more ice. Too thick? Add more wine! Cheers!!
Wine List: My Favorite Rosés
It’s no secret that one of my fave rosés is Domaine Lafond Tavel Roc-Epine as I post it to Instagram on the regular. When it comes to blending, though, I have a couple favorites: Blue Grouse Quill Rosé and Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Reserve Rosé.
Looking for a great sparkling rosé? I highly recommend Haywire Pink Bub from Okanagan Crush Pad.
