These designs are a new take on traditional and that’s why I’m in love with them because I’ll be honest – I’m not a table cloth kind of girl. We have a live edge dining room table and I love to let it be the backdrop for our holiday table designs. Why buy a piece of furniture just to cover it up for special occasions?

The Traditional Red & Green Table
I love a traditional holiday vibe like this table offers. I love that it’s all decked out in bright red with green accents and whimsical appetizer plates and cloth napkins. These adorable tree candles are the perfect centrepiece tied nicely together with this garland of red berries. It gives a traditional vibe with a little bit of a vintage feel, all without being too busy or fussy.

The Natural Scandi Table
This is my favorite table design ever for the holidays. I love that it doesn’t include any linens except for the snowflake napkins. The wood grain of the table provides warmth and a traditional feel and this white pine garland is the perfect table runner. I love how it’s accented with a few white tree candles and traditional candlesticks. It’s natural, minimalist and perfect for the entire winter season.

The Modern Tartan Table
Plaid has got to be one of my favorite holiday patterns and this table is done just right! It’s the perfect combination of red, green, white and modern and uses every day dishes really well. It feels casual yet elegant. This red berry garland is making yet another appearance and I’m all for it! The only way to make this table feel more special is if this was your traditional family tartan!

The Simple Appetizer Station
So often appetizer stations and holiday party grazing tables are just thrown together at the last minute, but this image serves as the perfect inspiration for what a casual get-together or even Christmas Eve charcuterie could look like. It’s casual but elegant and feels well-thought out. And this green table runner is perfect year over year!

The Modern Traditional Table
Some of us are just traditional to our core, and this table design supports that! If you’re looking for a set up that is going to be elegant and stunning year after year, this design is just the ticket. I love a solid charger plate, and you know I’ll always choose a playful runner over a table cloth. This flatware and these white dishes are elegant enough for a fancy holiday meal, but are also perfect for every day. These hurricane lanterns up the centre are so classic, they work for all seasons.

The Traditional Hanukkah Blues
I know I said I wouldn’t include tablecloths in this post, but this set up was too gorgeous not to share! It makes me want to bring my great-great-grandmother’s silver flatware out of storage! Hanukkah is always one of my favourites because of the deep blues and touches of silver, but I love how these deep purple flowers break up and otherwise typical table.
