I love Easter tables! I feel like it is one of our first opportunities to celebrate spring and it’s always nice to be able to decorate with pinks and pretty pastels. I am not someone with fine china and I believe in using everyday dishes and flatware whenever possible, Here is my simple Easter tablescape! I hope that it inspires yours this year!
I have never been much for table cloths and this is part of why we invested in a live edge dining table. I love to highlight the wood grain and contrast it whenever possible and I like to do that with plain white dishes and a soft table runner.
I love the pretty watercolour design of this table runner. It was a HomeSense (HomeGoods) find and I get excited to pull it out every year. The little bit of beading gives it some extra dimension and it is whimsical without being tacky or kitschy.
I keep a small collection of cloth napkins on hand. I buy them up when they go on sale and always have extras. I grabbed these ones in the centre and pulled them half way through these geometric wooden rings. Both are from Maison Simons.
These place settings feature IKEA 365+ Dishes and my everyday flatware – it just looks fancy because I added an extra fork and a teaspoon. Small touches like this are an easy way to add elegance.
So many table designs go overboard and clutter a table. Being able to see and talk to your guests, have space for food, pitchers of water, bottles of wine, etc. is a priority to me. Rather than an ornate centrepiece, I opted for these bright pink tulip blooms, which give me all the spring vibes!
