Female entrepreneurs are popping up all over the place (YAY!) and I’m sure you have one or two on your gift list this year. Maybe you yourself are a #GirlBoss and are looking for your next great read. Whether or not you are an established or aspiring entrepreneur, any lady on your list will find inspiration in these pages.
Here are some of the books I’ve enjoyed this year that are sure to inspire the next chapter of your journey…and look pretty in flat lays and on your bookshelf!
Work Party – Jaclyn Johnson
I just finished this one and wow! If her name sounds familiar, she’s the founder of Create & Cultivate. This book is fantastic for a woman working for herself or climbing the career ladder
Girl, Wash Your Face – Rachel Hollis
Everyone that I’ve spoken to that has read this book has said that it was life changing for them. Semi-autobiographical and full of wonderful candid advice, this is a must-read for all of us. It offers a perspective that we can all relate to and learn from. You can pre-order her next book “Girl, Stop Apologizing“, too!
Design Your Next Chapter – Debbie Travis
I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time, so when I spotted this gorgeous pink book I knew I had to pick it up! It’s all about realizing your dreams and re-inventing yourself to find a life that you love.
Find Your Extraordinary – Jessica Herrin
You’ve seen me recommend this one more than once and for good reason. I think the biggest takeaway from this book are the strategies around finding what success means to you – because it’s defined differently for everyone.
In The Company of Women – Grace Bonney
A great coffee table book full of inspiration. This book is perfect for inspiring any woman in your life! One of our writers gifted this to me a couple of years ago and I cherish it.
A Tribe Called Bliss – Lori Harder
There’s a lot of talk around “finding your tribe” lately and I fully subscribe to these principles. This book’s reads “break through superficial friendships, create real connections and reach your highest potential.” YES!
The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck – Sarah Knight
I read this cute little book as well as its follow ups Get Your Sh*t Together, Calm The F*ck Down and You Do You. These are great for ridding yourself of guilt and living a great life. Also helpful for the unfocussed, the scatterbrained and the people pleaser!
Grace, Not Perfection – Emily Ley
This book is small but mighty! It packs a lot of great advice for any woman in your life. There’s a reason why I never cease recommending it. Want more strategies? Pick up her follow-up book: A Simplified Life.
The Confidence Code – Katty Kay
The subtitle of this book is “the science and art of self-assurance: what women should know”. I think that’s pretty powerful. Self-assurance can take us a long way to be successful. She’s also penned a follow up for younger ladies called The Confidence Code: For Girls.
