When I found out I was pregnant, I started to research baby care brands like crazy. Which diapers didn’t contain any ‘bad stuff’ but were still useful and absorbent? Which bath products were plant-based and toxin-free but not outrageously priced? And like everything else, I wanted to share my findings with you – my fave peeps!

Hello Bello Bath & Body Products
Hello Bello‘s bath products are cruelty free. They may not be tested on animals, but they were tested on this mama, by this mama first! Before trying any of these products on my precious little’s skin, I wanted to try them on myself. And you know what? They were great.
The shampoo and conditioner, body wash and bubble bath are all super moisturizing. I love how they cleanse without stripping natural oils. They’re perfect for the whole family, but I love them best for babies and toddlers. buybuy BABY carries these products in their two main natural fragrances: Soft Lavender and Vanilla Apricot.
I personally prefer the Vanilla Apricot scent over the Soft Lavender for every day use, but do love the bedtime bonus effects of lavender.
I also love the packaging – it’s so, so cute and I think it looks really fun in baby’s bathroom! It’s the perfect way to add a pop of colour to your tub side or diaper caddy.
A couple other features worth noting is that these products are rated as suitable for newborns, which not all baby bath products are. Hello Bello also offers a hair conditioner which is perfect for toddlers or babes born with lots of hair or curls!
I know there are a number of mamas that have moved away from using baby oil and baby powder because of the ingredients you find in most versions. Hello Bello makes these products available in a safer way. Their baby oil is made with natural oils and contains no mineral oil and their baby powder is talc free so there’s no need to worry!
Hello Bello Diapers
Let’s just start out by saying that Hello Bello diapers have some of the cutest patterns! As a girl-mama, I love these for summer time when baby wears just a diaper and a little dress.
When you see diapers advertised, they’re usually compared to “the leading value brand” rather than their direct peer. What I believe Hello Bello diapers do is bridge the gap; they’re absorbent and stylish like a premium diaper, free of all the ‘bad stuff’ you often find in bargain diapers and they are made in a sustainably and eco-friendly way like many of the enviro-brands that we see (but tend not to absorb well).
I honestly really like the texture and feel of the diaper itself. I also like the way that the waist bands wrap around baby with front and back tabs (shown in photo above). I think this makes them more comfortable on baby’s waist and who can argue with that?
The only down side of Hello Bello diapers is that they only have a wetness-indicator in sizes N-2, so you’re without that handy dandy modern feature that most of us live by.
Hello Bello Wipes
I’ve always been on the hunt for good wipes, even long before I had a baby. I’m that person that keeps a pack of wipes in my vehicle because you never know when you might need them! (confession: I eat sticky or saucy things in my car sometimes…).
Finding an effective and well-priced plant-based wipe can be difficult but I think Hello Bello did a great job. Their wipes are 99% water and have a touch of aloe so they don’t dry your skin or baby’s bum! And when I say that they’re well priced, they are really, really well priced for premium plant-based wipes. Another great feature? They’re sewer and septic safe, so they’re great for rural peeps, too! The only potential con of these is that they feel a little bit smaller than other wipes so you may need an extra on occasion.
