In the hot days of summer, sometimes you feel like a cocktail, but sometimes you feel like a beer. Here’s a way to have both with Hoegaarden white and Sanpellegrino Pompelmo.
Just some background on Hoegaarden white for interest’s sake.
This Belgian brew is naturally cloudy and contains flavors that feature “the aroma of orange peel, coriander and herbs”. Its complex taste is “soft, light and slightly sweet and sour, with subtle citrus notes”.
Sanpellegrino Pompelmo is a nice, tart and not too sweet grapefruit soda. Adding this little extra does sweeten the beer a bit, but also adds a refreshing note that is perfect for a hot day.
What You Need:
1/2 can of San Pellegrino Pompelmo
1 bottle of Hoegaarden white
Pint Glass
What To Do:
I like to pour the half can of soda into the glass first, then gently pour thee bottle of beer into the glass (gently, on the side, as you would naturally pour beer into a glass). Give a little stir if you like, but it’s not required.
