The holiday season seems to be so busy for all of us! Whether you’re hosting a dinner or attending a circuit of parties, you’re going to want your nails to be on point. The best thing about a holiday manicure? You get some time to yourself to just relax and enjoy! Below I’m sharing some traditional and some non-traditional nail ideas for the holidays here.
Traditional Red & Green Nails
Nothing says holiday like a classic shiny red nail colour! I love the square shape of them, too. They feel more classic and relaxed, which is perfect for the holiday season.
I love this glossy green mani! It’s super classic and it works for fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas and beyond.
I love nail art and these traditional poinsettias are so gorgeous! You’ll be getting compliments everywhere you go – you won’t want to wear gloves!
All That Glitters is Your Manicure!
If solid red is a bit too daring for you, even for Christmas, adding a coat (or many!) of glitter over top is the answer. It’s the best of both worlds and feels that much more festive.
I love how these gold accent nails break up a traditional red manicure. They sparkle like the baubles on the tree!
Like the red and gold manicure above, I love this green and gold one, too! It’s a mix on tradition that feels extra fun!
Pretty Pastel Holiday Manicures
What makes each of these pastel manicures feel a little more ‘holiday’ are the details! I love the ombre glitter effect on this pastel mint green mani – it takes a regular chalky nail colour and dresses it up!
I love stripes and polkadots and this mani has both! I love the metallic choices on some of the nails, too. This mani is sure to last through the new year!
What’s a holiday manicure without a little bling…or in this case a LOT of bling?! These gorgeous pastel pink digits are next level with the rhinestone accents.
I love white mani all year long, but this one has a few colours as well as one glitter accent – just like your fave decorations!
Non-Traditional Holiday Colors
Black is classic at any time of year. I know some may give some side eye to a black manicure for the holidays, but when done in a glossy shade on short nails, I think it’s a perfect and classic choice.
I honestly love a bright pink winter nail colour and this adorable magenta mani is everything! It’s girly, feels a little bit retro and is always party ready!
This mani is kind of a mix of traditional and non-traditional. The metallic green is fun for the whole season.
