I have stayed in my fair share of airport hotels over the years and one thing I have come to value the most is quiet! The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport is one of the quietest airport hotels I have ever stayed in and it was lovely.
While visiting Mississauga, Ontario for a conference this fall, we researched hotels in the area quiet extensively and we decided upon The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport. The conference and trade show that we attended is an annual event and we will be sure to return to the same hotel for our stay in the area next year.
Hotel First Impressions
You only get one chance at a first impression and the lobby of this hotel is stunning. Not only is it visually appealing, it is an incredibly welcoming environment. There are several places to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or a night cap if retiring to your room early is not your scene. It also offers some very social media-worthy photo opportunities!
The lobby area boasts a delightful restaurant and bar perfect for grabbing a meal or drink on your way in or out of the hotel. There are also several workspaces available which was great for us as it gave me a place to catch up on emails while my husband was on conference calls in our room.
Comfortable Rooms Full of Convenience
The rooms themselves are quite comfortable and are available in a few different sizes to meet the needs of their guests. You can also request a room with a jetted bathtub if this is something you look for in a hotel stay. After a long day of being on my feet, this was just the thing!
I especially loved having a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave in our room. The lobby shop offers fresh made take away meals and having a space to refrigerate and/or reheat these was really convenient. The food options were fantastic from this shop as well and served us well for a quick lunch or snack between meetings. It is always nice being able to have cold bottled water at the end of a long day, too!
Free Shuttle Services
The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport not only offers shuttle services to their guests to and from the airport, they also offer service to the Union Pearson Express (UPExpress) where visitors can easily take the train to the centre of downtown Toronto to take in a number of historic sites! This is perfect if you’re attending a sports game, concert or theatre performance or want to take in such sites as The Hockey Hall of Fame or historic Union Station itself.

The downtown area also boasts fantastic shopping and dining and what better way to experience this without the hassle of renting a car and dealing with the traffic and parking of a large city.
A Comfortable Stay!
I know that I stressed at the beginning of this article how quiet the hotel is, but it is worth mentioning again. Although we had views of planes taking off and landing from our room, we certainly could not hear them. We spent hectic days at this hotel and it was nice to be able to get a good (and quiet!) night’s sleep.
The proximity to the airport and our trade show venue (The International Centre) were ideal. The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport is also minutes from fantastic shopping and dining if your stay requires it.

My husband and I travel a lot for business and it is a relief to have such a wonderful hotel that we know we can count on in this area again and again.
