Valentine’s Day (+ Galentine’s Day) is one of those holidays that can often bring kitschy gifts, yet another cutesy coffee mug, or things that are cute but of no real good everyday use. This year I’m suggesting gifts that are useful and somewhat practical that can be used all year long.
My goal with these Valentine’s Day gift ideas is to inspire togetherness, give back and make someone feel special. Here’s what I’m shopping for this year:
Towels for Two!
I’m a big fan of Tesalate’s beach towels, but did you know that they make towels for two? The perfect base for sitting close on the beach or snuggling under after a dip in the water! They also make a great picnic blanket if that’s more your jam! I like to stick to the geometric and classic patterns myself, but the have gorgeous boho and colourful styles, too. There’s something for every style.
I love these towels so much because they dry fast and fold small so they’re perfect for packing for your next vacation.Did I mention they’re totally sand-free? They also don’t take up a ton of space in your beach bag or suitcase…and they keep you from taking the beach home with you, too.
Watches for Us
Watches are gifts that my husband and I often give one another as they’re the accessory we always wear. I am a huge fan of Nordgreen watches because you can get the same face and band style in a few different sizes (perfect for a his-and-hers combo!). I got one in navy blue of course!
What I love about Nordgreen watches is that their styles are truly unisex. Their Scandi-style is minimalist and classic, making them perfect for layering with bracelets for a more feminine look. Their bands are also interchangeable and you can even build a custom gift set with multiple bands in a box!
Do You Fondue?
I love an interactive meal experience and what better way to do this at home than with a fondue pot! I feel like this 1970s wedding gift is something that is back in a big way (or maybe it never really went out of style!).
I think what’s most fun about this is how chill and relaxed it makes a meal. Sure it takes longer, but that’s the experience and the togetherness that couples look for, especially on Valentine’s Day!
Jewellery For Valentines & Galentines!
It might seem like a Valentine’s Day cliché, but you can never go wrong with jewellery. I like keepsake pieces, items with a special meaning behind them or even just something fun that I can wear every day. I’m a big fan of Paris Jewellers as they offer pieces at a variety of price points so you can get something for your Valentine or better yet, your Galentine pal!
Every season, Paris Jewellers has a collection of items that give back to the Children’s Wish Foundation, which I absolutely love. I picked up an Infinity Necklace (shown above) for my Galentine pal this year! Check out their Celebrate Love Collection here.

A Romantic & Relaxing Bath
Some might see bath products as an easy gift, and that’s because they are! Rather than just a ‘whatever’ bath set, I suggest checking out Canadian company Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Their products are made with natural ingredients and are toxin-free.
Put together the perfect bath set for your bestie, your partner or for a romantic bath together! My faves are their Vanilla Coconut Better Bubble Bath and their detoxing bath bombs!
I’ve been a huge fan of their products for years and you can find them all throughout my house (most recently their baby collection!). Right now, get free shipping on any purchase from RockyMountainSoap.com with Promo Code STYLEDTOSPARKLEFREESHIPPING (valid until March 11, 2020).
